A voice for business owners in Texas

Howdy!

Karen Mark

Welcome to one of the most informative and strategic websites and organizations for Business Owners in the great State of Texas!

In 2008, taxes on Texas businesses increased substantially with the passage of the Texas Business Margin Tax (BMT) in 2006.  As a result, Texas business owners began working hard in 2006 to elect representatives who are sensitive to commerce-crippling taxation. With great success, they replaced their State Senator and State Representative who did nothing to stop the BMT and/or voted for the BMT.

After filing and payment of their first BMT in 2008, a group of business owners with Shared Values learned they did not have a strong voice in Austin for tax relief. However, they were encouraged by the successful efforts on the local level begun in 2006 and determined an initiative to accomplish the same goal statewide would be in the best interest of all Texas Business Owners. BOOT was created by Texas Business Owners to provide a platform for development of a STRONG UNITED voice for all Business Owners Of Texas.

If you are a Business Owner in Texas, you know the burden placed on your business by the New Business Margin Tax.  For more go to:

BOOT will work hard to maintain accountability of all 31 Texas State Senators and 150 Representatives, but this initiative realizes success is solely dependent upon Business Owners Of Texas reaching out and connecting with their Texas Senators and Representatives at the local level.

Current INitiative: Repeal The Tax!

BOOT is developing & executing a proven local Game Plan, which has been used by business owners to influence or replace anti-business Texas Senators and Representatives. Please take time to review the Game Plan and put it in to action ASAP to "boot" the Business Margin Tax! Working together, beginning with the Game Plan, we are sure to see great Statewide success!

God bless, and thanks for joining the Revolution!

For a better Texas,
